Creative Destruction

I am reminded from my early fire painting days that destruction is the beginning of creation, failure the requisite passage to success, a problem the spark of solution. The best and most meaningful beauty is shorn of the fires of tribulation, trial and test.

Russell - I wonder how many people who eiher know you or follow your blog, your trials and tribulations - ever transpose what you just said to our world in general? Perhaps they would first have to acknowledge that in certain aspects the human experiment has to be considered a failure, needing to be destroyed as we know it in order to actually succeed? Would they acquiesce to that? That its destruction might be its only way to be created anew, hopefully somehow in a different version that might lead to a better working solution and therefore a far greater beauty - as must have been instilled, ingrained or imagined in the original creation. Our macro world may well indeed justifiably mirror our micro selves. Just saying . . .
